Weird laws of the land

This week on Field Notes: weird agricultural laws and the events that got them on the books.

Did you know if Kansan county commissions so desire, they can levee a tax on their residents to fill a soil drift fund? What about ag ownership in Iowa...it is illegal for non-U.S. citizens to own farmland in the state. Lastly, you can feed only certain types of food to swine in Missouri.
